Rod Stewart has increased the price of his Los Angeles megamansion to $80 million

British singer Sir Rod Stewart has increased the price of his long-standing Los Angeles mansion to a substantial $80 million. This marks a $10 million surge from the initial $70 million valuation he set when he first listed it earlier this year. Records indicate that Stewart, 78, acquired the approximately 3-acre estate for $12.08 million in 1991 and enlisted architect Richard Landry, renowned as the “king of the megamansion,” to craft the residence, completed in 1993. Listing agent Tomer Fridman of the Fridman Group International noted that the “privacy and recent record-breaking sales in Beverly Park validate the price increase.”

In fact, luxury property sales in the city surged in November, with agreements made on residences priced at $5 million or more increasing by 28% compared to the previous year, as reported by data from Douglas Elliman on Thursday.

Located in the celebrity-filled enclave of Beverly Park, the yellow-painted estate epitomizes the ideal sanctuary for celebrities and prominent individuals, according to Fridman. “It truly serves as the ultimate getaway, providing unparalleled tranquility and seclusion amidst expansive, open grounds that cater to homeowners desiring ample space for lavish living without compromising on privacy.”

And a number of terraces and balconies.

Nestled behind gates and situated at the end of a long, secluded driveway, the 28,000-square-foot estate is described in the listing as embodying timeless elegance and unparalleled luxury. It boasts intricate decorative elements such as marble floors, columns, wood paneling, fireplaces, and elaborate moldings.

Luxurious amenities throughout the nine-bedroom residence include a grand double-height foyer adorned with a majestic double staircase, a spacious great room, a hand-painted bar, a formal library with floor-to-ceiling bookshelves, a gourmet kitchen, a formal dining room, intimate sitting areas, a private speakeasy, and a screening room.

Outside, a separate 4,500-square-foot guest house offers additional living space and features a full-size gym. The property also includes a swimming pool and spa, numerous lounging areas, landscaped gardens, an outdoor entertainment pavilion with a barbecue and fireplace, and a fully illuminated soccer field—perfect for the “Maggie May” singer who once aspired to be a professional footballer during his youth.

Efforts to reach a spokesperson for Stewart for comment were unsuccessful at the time of reporting.
