NFL Star Deebo Samuel Lists His Morgan Hill, California Home for Nearly $5 Million

NFL standout Deebo Samuel is preparing for his next chapter in Washington, D.C.—and that transition includes listing his Northern California residence, a custom-designed estate in Morgan Hill, just south of Silicon Valley. The property recently hit the market for $4.98 million, according to listing details reviewed by californialuxuryhouses.

Samuel, 29, spent the past six seasons with the San Francisco 49ers before being traded to the Washington Commanders last month. With the move east, the Pro Bowl wide receiver is now parting ways with a home that reflects both his lifestyle and his years in the Bay Area.

A Strategic Purchase After a Major Contract

Samuel originally purchased the home in August 2022 for $4.7 million through a limited liability company, shortly after signing a three-year, $71.55 million contract extension with the 49ers. Built in 2019, the residence spans just under 6,000 square feet and sits on a 0.63-acre lot—one of the largest parcels in its neighborhood.

“This was a long-term home from the beginning,” said Aaron Parker of Score Real Estate Inc., the listing agent, in comments shared with californialuxuryhouses. “Deebo invested heavily in customizing the property to fit his lifestyle, especially when it comes to entertaining.”

Modern Design with Volume and Light

Located within Borello Ranch Estates, the home is the only gated property in the community, offering a rare layer of privacy. Inside, an open-plan main living area is defined by 20-foot ceilings and heated marble tile floors, creating a dramatic yet welcoming atmosphere.

The majority of the living space is situated on the first floor, where large sliding glass doors blur the boundary between indoor and outdoor living. A loft-style second floor houses an informal lounge—currently outfitted with a pool table and movie theater-style recliners—that opens onto a covered terrace. Two additional bedrooms are also located upstairs.

A Closet Designed for a Sneaker Obsession

All six bedrooms in the home feature en-suite bathrooms, but the primary suite stands apart for its bespoke additions. The bed sits atop a raised platform, while a hidden 70-inch television rises discreetly from a console at the foot of the bed—an upgrade personally commissioned by Samuel.

One of the most talked-about features is the custom shoe closet, created by converting a den near the entryway. Complete with color-changing lighting, the space is large enough to house approximately 550 pairs of sneakers.

“And that wasn’t even enough to hold all of them,” Parker said, noting that the closet reflects Samuel’s well-known passion for footwear. He added that the customization was designed to feel like a high-end boutique rather than a traditional storage room.

A Backyard Built for Hosting

If the interior speaks to personal style, the backyard was designed squarely for entertaining. Nearly every major first-floor room opens directly to the outdoor space, reinforcing the home’s indoor-outdoor flow.

The resort-style yard includes a saltwater swimming pool, hot tub, fire pit, and a large gazebo that anchors the space. Beneath the structure is a fully equipped outdoor kitchen, al fresco dining area, lounge seating with a fireplace and television, and even a bathroom. A putting green wraps around the gazebo, while a half basketball court sits just beyond—both additions made by Samuel.

“You’re buying this home because you want to entertain and have people over,” Parker told californialuxuryhouses. “This is a property that deserves to be shown off.”

Morgan Hill: Space, Privacy, and Silicon Valley Access

Approximately 30 minutes south of Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Morgan Hill has become increasingly attractive to high-profile buyers seeking more space than what’s typically available closer to Silicon Valley’s urban core.

“People are drawn here because you can slow down without losing access,” Parker explained. “It’s less hustle and bustle, but you’re still close to tech campuses, private aviation, and top-tier dining.”

The area offers convenient access to Highway 101, local wineries, golf courses, and a growing restaurant scene. Over the years, Morgan Hill has also been home to other NFL players, including Trey Lance and Trent Williams, further cementing its appeal among professional athletes.

Looking Ahead

While Samuel could not immediately be reached for comment, californialuxuryhouses attempted to contact the athlete regarding the sale but did not receive a response prior to publication. Still, the listing offers a glimpse into how elite athletes tailor their homes to match both personal passions and long-term value.

As Samuel prepares for his debut season with the Commanders, his Morgan Hill estate stands as a polished reflection of his California years—equal parts luxury retreat, entertainment hub, and highly personalized living space.
