NFL legend Tom Brady‘s expansive megamansion on Miami’s infamous “Billionaire Bunker” has finally been completed—and the retired quarterback isn’t wasting any time in showing off his pricey pad.
Brady, 47, purchased his home on Indian Creek Island—known to many as “Billionaire Bunker” because of its ultrawealthy residents—for a hefty $17 million in 2020, when he was still married to supermodel Gisele Bündchen.
He immediately began working on an extensive renovation of the property, essentially demolishing the existing structure to make way for a modern dwelling that has taken a whopping four years to complete.
But what began as a marital home has since become a very spacious and lavish bachelor pad for Brady after he and Bundchen divorced in October 2022, with the former football pro taking the Indian Creek Island property as part of their settlement.
Two years later, it appears the enormous home has finally been completed—and Brady is now revealing a sneak peek inside his new abode in a series of Instagram Stories posts, one of which captured a beautiful exterior look at the dwelling, while the other offered a glimpse at the incredible views he enjoys from his waterfront location.
In the image of the home itself, which appears to have been taken from the pool, the angular modern structure can be seen reflecting the sun’s pink rays, turning coral in the light.
The second photo, which was taken at sunrise, shows Brady’s view of Biscayne Bay from the backyard of his home.
Interestingly, that vista likely includes a view of his former wife’s new Miami home, which she purchased for $11.5 million shortly after their divorced was finalized. It’s also where she reportedly plans to give birth to her first child with her boyfriend, Joaquim Valente.
This is not the first time that Brady has shared photos taken inside the 1.84-acre property. In March, he shared a snap of his shimmering pool, captioning the photo: “Home is where the heart is.”
The zero-entry pool is surrounded by lounge chairs, sun umbrellas, and a fire pit, all set about a gray stone patio. The sleek white building behind him offers a glimpse of his enormous contemporary mansion, a design marvel.
Another image shared in September featured a beautiful sunset view of his pool, as well as the modern cabana-style structure that sits at one end of it, offering shade from the blazing Miami sun and a place for Brady to relax with friends.
‘Billionaire Bunker’
Indian Creek Island is home to an array of wealthy—and very private—residents, including Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner as well as Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez.
The artificially constructed barrier island holds just 41 residential properties, most of which are located along the edge of the 300-acre area. It is considered to be one of the most affluent and private communities in the world.
Indian Creek Island has its own police force and can be accessed by one bridge, which has a checkpoint. Only residents and their permitted guests are allowed onto the island.
Many of the existing homes on the island have been bought up and renovated extensively, with Trump and Kushner completing an incredible overhaul of their $24 million megamansion earlier this year. The couple bought the home in April 2021.
Meanwhile, Bezos and Sanchez are understood to have purchased three different properties on the island with a view of turning them into one enormous compound.
Most recently, he purchased a $90 million six-bedroom mansion in an off-market deal. He is reportedly using that property as his current residence while work on his other two homes (which cost $68 million and $79 million, respectively) is completed.
A move to Florida
Brady and Bündchen originally relocated to the Sunshine State in 2020, when the football star signed on for a three-year stint with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, after almost two decades with the New England Patriots. At first, the family rented a home in Davis Islands in Tampa from none other than Yankees legend Derek Jeter.
Bündchen shares two children with Brady, Benjamin, 14, and Vivian, 11. The couple divorced after 13 years of marriage.
Now, the supermodel is planning another home birth, in her $11.5 million Surfside, FL, home, which she purchased in 2022 and has since renovated.
Built in 1981, the five-bed, 6.5-bath abode spans almost 4,000 square feet. The magnificent mansion on a half-acre lot features 25-foot ceilings, large living spaces, massive terraces, and stunning views of a wide waterway and Indian Creek Island—where Brady has his megamansion.
As for Brady, now that his high-end home is finally complete, the seven-time Super Bowl champion seems to be living it up in the lap of luxury. He retired from football (for a second time) in 2023 and is now a sports announcer for “NFL on Fox.”
