Bethenny Frankel Sold Her Spectacular Connecticut Dream Home for $7,800,000

Known as Applejack Farm and dating to 1743, the elegant compound has been offloaded by Bravo television star Bethenny Frankel for $7.8 million. The Skinnygirl Cocktails founder snapped up the home, formerly owned by Connecticut governor Lowell Weicker, in August 2021 for $4.25 million. She went on to redesign several areas of the three-acre estate that comprises a five-bedroom main residence, two-bedroom guest cottage, studio, and a converted barn.

The gated compound is surrounded by an abundance of greenery. Trees, rolling green lawns, and well-maintained garden beds are all fixtures of the grounds, elevating the home’s grand yet cozy exterior.

The covered porch overlooking the lush grounds is something out of a movie, with a porch swing and plenty of room for additional seating.

Sure, the antique bar is beautiful, but it’s the iconic Scalamandré wallpaper that makes this room.

Frankel did some remodeling during her time at Applejack Farm, but the most grandiose change she made was to the kitchen. She opted for La Cornue appliances, added a bright, benched breakfast nook, exposed the beams, put in marble countertops, and painted the space in black and white.

The Applejack boasts multiple cozy living areas, complete with fireplaces and large windows.

When guests enter the home, they are greeted by a warm foyer adorned with floral wallpaper and wood trimmings, along with a statement table at its center.

The primary bedroom features a stone wood-burning fireplace.

The farm’s new owner also gained manicured gardens and ample patio space for outdoor dining and lounging, along with a two-bedroom, two-bath guest cottage, a standalone studio, a three-bay garage, and a party barn.
