For a couple of years, Al Tapper has sought a buyer for his luxurious South Florida estate, known as “Villa Museo,” with no success. Now back on the market, this stunning property in Boca Raton is listed at $7 million—$2 million less than Tapper’s original asking price.

This price is still significantly higher than the $1.5 million he paid in 2000, prior to investing years and millions in customizations. Filled with approximately $1 million worth of unique antique furnishings—mostly sourced from Sotheby’s and Christie’s in New York—these pieces can be included in the sale for an additional fee. The listing is held by Bonnie Heatzig of Douglas Elliman.

Set on over two-thirds of an acre within the exclusive Woodfield Country Club community, this waterfront mansion boasts five bedrooms and seven bathrooms across more than 6,500 square feet of single-level living space. Highlights include high ceilings, museum-quality lighting, arched windows, carved columns, and walls of limestone, mahogany, and pecky cypress. Additional amenities include a gym and a detached building featuring an art deco-style movie theater with stadium seating.

The home also features a grand living room with a massive fireplace, a library, formal dining room, and a family room and kitchen adorned with flooring from a 400-year-old French church. The luxurious master suite showcases light oak floors designed to mimic intricate parquet patterns typical of 19th-century European manors, along with a reconfigured king-sized Louis XVI bed.

The dining room was crafted to resemble a “fantasy garden.”

Outside, the grounds are beautifully landscaped with walking paths, fruit trees, and tropical plants, complemented by an oversized freeform pool and spa. Numerous outdoor spaces are perfect for entertaining while overlooking a tranquil lake. The property includes a three-car garage and a transferable golf membership at Woodfield Country Club, which grants access to an 18-hole championship golf course recently renovated at a cost of around $8 million.
