A Southern California estate once owned by a musical family is now on the market for $6 million

Several years ago, smooth jazz saxophonist Warren Hill and his record producer wife, Tamara Van Cleef, bought a home in the Agoura Hills suburb of Los Angeles. They outfitted the property with luxurious amenities and even saw their pop singer daughter, Olivia Rox, reach the Top 10 in Season 15 of American Idol. Now, the music-oriented couple is moving on from their beloved Tudor-style residence and has listed it for just under $6 million.

Built in the mid-1980s, the home is described by Alessandro Corona and Brandon Doolittle of Douglas Elliman as a blend of “British Rock Star grandeur and comfortable elegance.” Known as Kind of Blue Manor, the property features seven bedrooms and five bathrooms within over 7,000 square feet of multi-level living space. Set on a woodsy acre in the gated Medea Valley Estates community, the striking blue brick and shingle-roof home is accessed via a circular driveway leading to a four-car garage.

The entry is marked by ornate wood and glass doors opening into a double-height foyer with polished marble floors and a crystal waterfall chandelier hanging from a coffered wood ceiling. The main level includes a spacious living and dining area with a massive stone fireplace, a hand-polished rock crystal chandelier, and French doors leading outside. The updated kitchen boasts custom cabinetry, granite countertops, a center island, top-tier Bosch, Thermador, and Sub-Zero appliances, a wine fridge, and a Moroccan-style breakfast nook.

The upstairs level includes a second primary suite and an optional recording studio, while the finished basement offers a billiards room, a 350-bottle wine cellar, and a red-hued library with glossy black bookshelves.

The property also borders the Paramount Ranch recreation area, perfect for hiking, biking, and horseback riding.
