The Grammy-winning DJ is parting with his longtime Los Angeles retreat, a modernist 1950s home reimagined with sleek updates and a private recording studio.
After more than a decade of ownership, DJ and record producer Zedd—born Anton Zaslavski—is saying goodbye to his longtime Hollywood Hills home. The Grammy-winning artist has placed the property on the market for just under $5.5 million, represented by David Kramer and Andrew Buss of Compass.

A Post-Clarity Purchase
Zedd acquired the hillside residence in 2014, shortly after the breakout success of his debut studio album Clarity, which earned him a Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording. Records show he paid roughly $3.9 million for the property through a trust. Now 36, the Russian-German DJ is ready to let go of the modernist gem as he expands his real estate portfolio across Los Angeles.

Mid-Century Modern Elegance
Built in 1950, the home spans approximately 3,400 square feet and combines mid-century charm with contemporary sophistication. The white-facade structure sits privately above the street on Carman Crest Drive in the coveted Outpost Estates enclave.

Inside, neutral-toned interiors and open, airy spaces define the home’s aesthetic. The great room blends living, dining, and kitchen areas beneath high ceilings, while accordion-style glass doors seamlessly open to the backyard.
Designed for a DJ’s Lifestyle
Naturally, the home includes a professional-grade music studio, along with a glass-enclosed wine cellar and a sleek modern kitchen fitted with high-end stainless-steel appliances and an eat-in island. A pass-through bar window connects the kitchen to the pool area, creating a fluid environment for entertaining.

Outdoors, a heated saltwater pool and spillover spa are surrounded by lush landscaping, fire pits, and multiple seating areas for sunset views. The property also boasts a four-car garage and gated privacy on a one-third-acre lot.

A DJ With an Eye for Design
Zedd’s penchant for architecture and design is well documented. After purchasing this home, he went on to acquire several other standout Los Angeles properties, including his $18.4 million Odin mansion, bought in late 2023. Previously, he sold a contemporary Encino estate—once owned by Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner—to Meghan Trainor for $17.1 million, and a Beverly Hills retreat to Black-ish creator Kenya Barris for the same amount.

With an estimated net worth of $60 million, Zedd remains one of the highest-earning DJs in the world. Known for hit collaborations with Lady Gaga, Selena Gomez, Katy Perry, Alessia Cara, Shawn Mendes, Disclosure, and Martin Garrix, he currently maintains a Las Vegas residency in partnership with Tao Group.

As Zedd turns the page on his longtime Hollywood Hills residence, the sale marks both a personal and creative evolution for the superstar DJ. Known for blending precision and artistry in his music, he brings the same sensibility to his homes—spaces that balance style, technology, and serenity. While he bids farewell to this mid-century retreat, his next chapter promises to be just as dynamic, with new projects, performances, and architectural passions on the horizon.
