Philip DeFranco, the YouTube star known as “PhillyD,” is listing his hacienda-style home in Encino, Los Angeles, for $6.5 million. He and his wife, Lindsay, purchased the property in winter 2019 for $4.1 million. Previously, they offered it for rent at $25,000 per month.
Built in the late 1930s, this single-story stucco home sits on over an acre of land and features an interior courtyard with a transformed fountain. Inside, it boasts four bedrooms and five bathrooms across nearly 6,000 square feet, showcasing hardwood and stone floors, arched doorways, and high wood-beam ceilings with skylights.
Highlights include a formal living room with a wood-burning fireplace and French doors leading outside, a gourmet kitchen with vibrant green cabinetry and top-tier Viking appliances, and a chandelier-lit dining area. The home also offers an office, a luxurious movie theater, and a primary suite with a cozy seating area, private patio access, a custom closet, and a spa-like bathroom.
Outdoors, the property features a lighted tennis court, a covered entertaining area, a heated saltwater pool with a sundeck, an open-air cabana, and a standalone sauna. There are also changing rooms and two spaces currently set up as a gym and a soundproof recording studio, along with a detached guesthouse.
DeFranco, 38, is one of the early YouTube pioneers, known for his channel “sxephil” and his news show, The Philip DeFranco Show. According to a post on Lindsay’s Instagram, the couple is relocating to Atlanta to be closer to family on the East Coast.
