Two testimonies in the trial that the former couple is waging defend that in the famous attack reported by the actress, Depp was “out of the country.”

Johnny Depp and the British tabloid The Sun have begun the second week of hearings in the trial for the lawsuit filed by the actor accusing the newspaper of defamation for describing him in an article as “a violent husband.” It all goes back to the alleged attacks reported by his former wife Amber Heard, but little by little new details are becoming known about the turbulent relationship they had and which ended in 2016 with a million-dollar divorce.

In court, the couple of actors have dedicated all kinds of niceties, accusations, and reproaches to each other while Heard defends that she was attacked on more than one occasion by the star of ‘Pirates of the Caribbean,’ something that he has always denied. Last week, attacks caused by drug consumption were attributed to the actor and, although he confessed that for a time they were part of his daily life, he denied having hit his ex-wife.

This Monday, two witnesses appeared by videoconference, the doormen of the Eastern Columbia Building in Los Angeles in whose attic the couple lived. The names are Alejandro Romero and Trinity Esparza, and both have rejected the idea that Depp attacked Amber Heard, causing several injuries to her face since when they appeared the actor was “out of the country.”

In their sworn statement, they remember the last days of May 2016 and the beginning of June of the same year, a period in which the actors were married despite the fact that their relationship was living its last days. In their testimony, both claim that on May 21 they saw Amber Heard without injuries or bruises, also pointing out that the actress never wears makeup. That day, Amber reported that Johnny Depp had thrown a cell phone in her face.

But neither that day nor the immediately following days did the doormen see any type of mark on her face. Until May 27, she “appeared with a red cut under her right eye and red marks around it.” On June 4, following Esparza’s testimony, Heard appeared again with several more injuries, with a bruise on her cheek and with finger-shaped marks on her neck.

At that time, Johnny Depp had already been out of the apartment and “out of the country” for two weeks. For this reason, both Esparza and Romero point out that during those days Heard had only “interacted with Elon Musk,” so those injuries were caused by the founder of Tesla and not by the Hollywood star.

And in the same statement, they point out that Musk visited Heard “several times a week” during the night while Depp worked on a shoot. “Elon Musk frequently went to the attic during Mr. Depp’s two-week absence,” they explain. It should be noted that Heard and Musk had a relationship for approximately a year that was not revealed until April 2017. Depp claims that his ex-wife was unfaithful to him with Musk, and last month the alleged threesome that the two had came to light, alongside Cara Delevingne while Amber was married to Depp.
