The Spanish villa formerly owned by late Gold’s Gym owner Rainer Schaller is now on the market for $78 million

Two years after his tragic death in a plane crash at age 53, the expansive Mallorca estate of the late fitness mogul Rainer Schaller has hit the market for the first time, priced at $78 million. Situated in the foothills of Spain’s Serra de Tramuntana mountains, the property comprises a sprawling compound that Schaller began assembling in 2016.

Listing agent Alby Euesden of The Agency notes that the estate, completed in 2022, features five interconnected structures surrounded by meticulously landscaped gardens, with three additional buildings currently in development. Euesden explains that Schaller envisioned the property as a retreat for entertaining family, friends, and business associates, blending traditional Mallorcan rustic styles with global decor influences from Indonesia and Africa. The layout emphasizes privacy while fostering social gatherings in beautifully designed common areas.

Known as Torre del Sol, the 61-acre estate includes two private villas with a total of 16 bedrooms and bathrooms, featuring amenities like heated floors and advanced sound and TV systems. The estate boasts multiple entertaining spaces, including a pool house with a dining area, caterer’s kitchen, cigar lounge, and barbecue areas, as well as a sports pavilion overlooking basketball, tennis, and volleyball courts. A luxurious spa completes the offering, equipped with a sauna and massage rooms.

Rainer Schaller built his RSG Group fitness empire and amassed a fortune of $250 million, starting with his first McFit gym in Germany in the late 1990s. He later acquired Gold’s Gym for $100 million after the company’s bankruptcy during the COVID-19 pandemic. Tragically, Schaller died in October 2022 alongside his partner, her daughter, their son, an employee, and the pilot when their plane crashed off the coast of Costa Rica.
