A Spanish Colonial-style house in Los Angeles, built in 1929 and formerly owned by Olivia Wilde, has been listed for $4.8 million this week. Located in the Los Feliz neighborhood, the home retains much of its historic charm, featuring a red-tile roof and white-stucco exterior. Inside, it boasts hand-painted Malibu tiles, wrought-iron staircases, stained-glass and leaded-glass windows, and ceilings with exposed wood beams. According to listing agent Patricia Ruben of Sotheby’s International Realty – Los Feliz Brokerage, approximately 90% of the original Spanish Colonial details are still preserved.

There are several outdoor spaces.

The seller, Jeff Boutelle, CEO of Pharmavite—which includes the Nature Made brand—purchased the house in 2017 for $3.04 million from Jon Buscemi, a fashion designer and cousin of actor Steve Buscemi, according to property records.

The rotunda entrance is original to the house.

Boutelle was unavailable for comment.

Besides Buscemi and Wilde, who owned the house from 2011 to 2013, it has also been home to puppeteer Brian Henson, son of Muppets creator Jim Henson and chairman of the Jim Henson Company.

The library/office has a monogrammed fireplace.

An original rotunda entryway ushers you into the 3,284-square-foot home. While the house retains much of its original character, it also features significant modern upgrades, including a new kitchen with two ovens, a large island, a custom banquette, and a steel French door leading to the outdoors.

A modern kitchen has been added.

The property includes four bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms, with a fully remodeled primary suite bathroom.

The living room has original beamed ceilings and a Juliet balcony.

Additional spaces include a living room with a Juliet balcony, a home theater with the original bar, and an office/library featuring moody teal walls and a monogrammed fireplace.

Outside, there is a barbecue and seating area adjacent to the kitchen, another patio space, and a hot tub with a waterfall.

The media room has an original bar.

Situated in Los Feliz, the home is conveniently close to Griffith Park, the Griffith Observatory, and the park’s hiking trails.

Jon Buscemi, Olivia Wilde and Brian Henson have all owned the Los Feliz home.
