Now that Derek Carr has moved his career to New Orleans as the quarterback for the Saints, he no longer needs his Nevada home, which he occupied while leading the Las Vegas Raiders. Consequently, he has re-listed his modern Tuscan-style mansion in Henderson for just under $9 million—about $5.4 million more than he originally paid.
Carr and his wife Heather purchased the property for $3.6 million in early 2019 while it was still under construction. They subsequently customized the two-story home with personalized features. Finished in 2020, the stucco and stone residence is set behind walls and gates on over a third of an acre in the exclusive Southern Highlands Community. It offers five bedrooms, seven bathrooms, and approximately 8,600 square feet of living space. Additionally, there is a two-bedroom, two-bath guesthouse with 1,000 square feet, and an eight-car garage with a Tesla charger.
The home boasts a double-height living room with a floating linear fireplace and iron-caged crystal chandeliers, a dining area with an adjoining office, and a cozy fireside den that opens to a covered balcony. The gourmet kitchen features quartz countertops, a large eat-in island, high-end stainless appliances, a walk-in pantry, and a breakfast nook.
Upstairs, the luxurious primary suite includes a seating area with a fireplace, a private balcony, a walk-in closet, and a spa-like bathroom with dual vanities, a freestanding soaking tub, and a large open shower. Additional amenities include a golf simulator and a fully-equipped gym. Outdoors, the property offers two pools (one with a waterslide), a sports court, and a patio with a built-in barbecue and fire pit. The listing, managed by Stan Hicks of Coldwell Banker Premier Realty, also offers the option to purchase a membership to the Southern Highlands Golf Club.
Carr, the younger brother of former NFL quarterback and current NFL Network analyst David Carr, was drafted by the Raiders in the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft. Over his career, he set franchise records for passing yards, completions, attempts, and touchdown passes. After losing his starting position late in the 2022 season, the four-time Pro Bowler was released and signed a four-year, $150 million contract with the New Orleans Saints.
