Situated within the gated North Beverly Park community, the property spans approximately 33,000 square feet and boasts amenities such as a soccer field and a pool, according to listing agent Michelle Oliver of Douglas Elliman. Stewart, known for his passion for soccer, has owned the property since purchasing it for $12.08 million in 1991, as indicated by records. The home, designed by Los Angeles architect Richard Landry in the 1990s, exudes the ambiance of a European château, featuring intricate details such as patterned marble floors, ornate wood paneling, crystal chandeliers, and elaborate moldings, Oliver added.

The main house, boasting nine bedrooms, showcases a yellow façade adorned with intricately designed double doors. A lengthy, secluded driveway winds past a motor court featuring a classical fountain. Upon entry, a majestic foyer welcomes with its marble floors, Corinthian columns, and elaborate mirrors. Although listing images depict the residence adorned with various artworks including statues, paintings, and busts, it’s important to note that these items are not part of the sale, as clarified by Oliver.

The residence offers ample spaces for entertaining. On the main floor, a spacious great room features a bar, a fireplace, and French doors opening to a covered loggia with views of meticulously maintained grounds. Notably, there’s a raised platform housing a grand piano, as depicted in the listing pictures. A wood-paneled library is adorned with animal-print chairs, sumptuous upholstery, and an elegant chandelier, while the formal dining room accommodates seating for up to 20 individuals, according to Oliver. Additionally, there’s a speakeasy boasting jade-colored wood paneling, she noted.

The primary suite encompasses a sizable sitting room, a fireplace, and access to a large terrace overlooking the pool. Extensive closets provide ample storage for Stewart’s vast shoe collection, comprising boots, loafers, and sneakers, as shown in the listing images.

Oliver chose not to disclose the reason behind Stewart’s decision to sell. Instead, she emphasized that the property stands out in the Los Angeles market, where many estates at similar price points tend to be more modern and glassy. Describing the property as “truly bespoke” and “very detailed,” she expressed her hope that it will attract buyers seeking “a return to maximalism” and something unique.

Recent transactions have solidified North Beverly Park’s status as one of the most desirable areas in the Los Angeles region, although some properties have sold for considerably less than their initial asking prices. For instance, actor Mark Wahlberg recently sold his Beverly Park residence for $55 million, a reduction from the $87.5 million he originally sought in April 2022, according to records.
