In 2023, Alon Abady was deeply engrossed in real estate transactions. Not only did the Los Angeles-based investor purchase and subsequently sell Simon Cowell’s former Beverly Hills mansion for nearly $34 million, marking one of the highest-priced deals south of Sunset Boulevard, but he also completed the sale of an opulent estate in The Madison Club, Coachella Valley, to Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin for well over double its 2019 purchase price.

Continuing his streak, Abady recently acquired another Beverly Hills residence in an off-market deal. Public records indicate his purchase of the Laurel Way property for $17 million in March. This property was previously owned by renowned conservationists Dan and Susan Gottlieb, known for their Gottlieb Native Garden. Immediately following the acquisition, Abady placed the contemporary home on the rental market with a monthly rate of $125,000.

The Gottliebs acquired the modern mansion, designed by Paul McClean, for $18 million in late 2019, coinciding with its completion and interior design by Plus Design Studio. The residence, featuring a striking glass and stone exterior, spans over 11,200 square feet with five bedrooms and nine baths. Accessible through an impressive bridge entryway, the living space showcases travertine and wood finishes, complemented by a captivating lounge area, living wall, and water feature adorned with an imaginative tree sculpture.

Some notable features of the property include luxurious amenities such as a game room with a wet bar, a state-of-the-art movie theater, a fitness studio complete with a sauna, and a spacious six-car garage. The elegant interior boasts a formal living room with a striking linear fireplace and a custom-designed bar, as well as expansive walls of glass leading to the outdoor area. Additionally, a family room and dining space seamlessly connect to the gourmet kitchen, which is equipped with dual islands and top-of-the-line appliances.
