Gene Simmons’s longtime home in Beverly Hills, known as the Megamansion, is relisted for $39 million

A megamansion in Beverly Hills, California, once inhabited by Gene Simmons, has undergone a transformation and is now back on the market for $39 million, a significant increase from the $16 million it was sold for by the KISS bassist in 2021. According to a recent listing by Douglas Elliman, the interior space has expanded by approximately 3,000 square feet. The renovation, overseen by NOBEL Architecture and Interior Design, has introduced a sophisticated dark gray color scheme with accents of wood and other materials. Italian marble flooring, custom-made stone features, oak and wood paneling, and bespoke brass elements adorn the interior, creating an elegant ambiance. The mansion now spans about 16,390 square feet and boasts a grand double-height entry with a cathedral ceiling, modern industrial lighting, expansive windows, and iron doors leading to the outdoors. Reflecting the Californian lifestyle, the residence features an open floor plan that seamlessly connects to the nearly 2-acre estate grounds.

Mr. Simmons, a founding member of KISS, the iconic rock band known for their distinctive white-and-black makeup and hits like “Rock and Roll All Nite” and “I Was Made for Lovin’ You,” purchased the property in 1984 for $1.35 million, according to property records. Despite being listed for several years, initially at $25 million, the residence underwent multiple price reductions before ultimately selling for $16 million in October 2021. Before the sale, Mr. Simmons invested approximately $12 million in renovations, as reported by Mansion Global. In March, he made headlines again for selling his Las Vegas property for $11 million, according to Mansion Global.
