Though she hasn’t lived there in some time, Hollywood actress Christina Ricci has owned a home nestled into a lush cul-de-sac in the Woodland Hills area of Los Angeles since 2018. She purchased the property with her now ex-husband, James Heedergen, for $1.1 million. Ricci mentioned earlier this year that she wants to sell the house because it is where she lived through and after an abusive marriage with Heedergen, so she does not have positive memories or associations with the home.
Late last year, in preparation for selling the house, Ricci, who married hairstylist Mark Hampton in 2021, hired designer and TV personality Jeff Lewis to renovate the property. The renovation process was featured on the most recent season of Lewis’ Amazon Freevee series, Hollywood Houselift. The suburban residence, now freshly updated in Lewis’ signature transitional traditional style, has been listed on the market with an asking price of $2.249 million.
The two-story, charcoal-grey home sits on about a quarter acre and measures just over 2,700 square feet. It has four bedrooms and four bathrooms, and is listed by Mercedes “MJ” Javid of The Agency, who, like Lewis, has appeared on the reality TV series “Shahs of Sunset.” The formal living room features a large fireplace trimmed in marble and wood, while the open-plan great room at the back of the house overlooks the backyard and pool. The kitchen is outfitted with designer appliances, brass fixtures, and stone-like countertops. Upstairs, the primary suite has a Juliet balcony overlooking the pool and a bathroom with bold black-and-white floral wallpaper.
The classic kidney-shaped pool sits in a sunny clearing surrounded by dense foliage, providing privacy. There is also a small putting green and pathways winding through the lush hillside beyond the pool. Ricci has owned several homes in both New York and Los Angeles over the decades, including a recently sold townhouse in Brooklyn and a vintage hillside home in Los Feliz that she previously sold to actress Sarah Chalke.
