Alec Baldwin’s farmhouse in the Hamptons has had its price reduced by $10 million

Alec Baldwin has relisted his sprawling estate in the Hamptons with a significantly reduced asking price. The multi-acre compound in Amagansett, New York, now carries an asking price of $18.995 million, marking a $10 million decrease from its original debut price of $29 million at the end of 2022. This adjustment follows previous reductions; Baldwin initially lowered the price to $24.9 million in January of the previous year and then further to $22.5 million in March, according to listing records. The home’s return to the market was first reported by the New York Post on Tuesday.

According to listing records, Baldwin has owned the property since the mid-1990s, purchasing it for $1.75 million.

In a promotional video released with the latest listing, Baldwin expressed his affection for the property, stating, “I fell in love with this place the moment I arrived. You just can’t find anything like this out here anymore; large parcels of land, especially in Amagansett, are rare to come by. I always find my greatest happiness here, especially during this time of year. I adore it in the winter.”

Baldwin has called the place home since the mid-1990s, when he purchased it for $1.75 million.

At the heart of the estate stands a farmhouse spanning over 10,000 square feet, originally built in 1740 and subsequently expanded and modernized. This five-bedroom residence features amenities such as a spacious eat-in kitchen, a home theater, a wine tasting room, and a cozy wood-paneled library. Additionally, it includes covered porches and two balconies offering views of the adjacent nature reserve.

Outside, a custom pavilion with a fieldstone fireplace complements a gunite pool and spa, along with a fenced vegetable garden.

Listing agent Scott Bradley of Saunders & Associates described the property as follows: “When you’re here, it’s impossible to overlook what makes this estate so remarkable—a breathtaking hilltop residence surrounded by acres of protected reserve, under expansive skies and gentle ocean breezes.”

The home spans some 10,000 square feet.

He added, “There’s more than meets the eye here, much more. The buyer has the option to construct a completely separate 10,000 square foot residence,” noting also the potential for expansion of the existing home.

“This presents a rare opportunity to create a legacy estate in Amagansett,” Bradley commented.

There are five bedrooms.

Emmy award-winning Baldwin, who was unavailable for immediate comment, is renowned for his roles in films such as “The Hunt for Red October” and “The Departed.” His television credits include a prominent role in the sitcom “30 Rock” and his portrayal of Donald Trump on “Saturday Night Live.”

In April of the previous year, prosecutors in New Mexico decided to drop involuntary manslaughter charges against Baldwin concerning the tragic shooting incident on the set of the movie “Rust,” where cinematographer Halyna Hutchins was fatally shot and director Joel Souza was injured. Baldwin, as the producer and lead actor of the Western film, was handling the firearm that discharged during the October 2021 incident.
