Adam Carolla Sold Los Angeles-Area House for $7.85 Million

Carolla initially listed the home in June 2023 for $8.99 million, then reduced the price to $8.35 million in October before ultimately selling it to Ohtani for $7.85 million. The 59-year-old comedian purchased the property in 2018 but chose to sell it following his 2021 divorce from Lynette Paradise.

Shohei Ohtani, the exceptional two-way player, has recently signed a groundbreaking contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers. This historic deal, valued at $700 million over 10 years, not only sets a new record for the largest contract in Major League Baseball history but also in North American sports, surpassing previous records held by athletes such as Patrick Mahomes and Mike Trout.

The house incorporates contemporary and midcentury modern-style design.

The five-bedroom, approximately 7,330-square-foot home is situated in La Cañada Flintridge, an affluent suburb around 15 miles north of L.A., Owens stated.

Adam Carolla, host of “The Adam Carolla Show” podcast, purchased the property for $7.327 million in 2018 with his then-wife, Lynette Paradise. The couple lived in the house with their twins, Natalia and Santino, but are now in the process of divorcing, Carolla mentioned.

The house was built in 2013.

Built in 2013, the home features a blend of contemporary and midcentury modern design. “It strikes a nice balance between being a modern architectural home and having a family vibe as well,” Carolla commented. According to Owens, the house includes two fireplaces, a home theater, a gym, and a sauna. The nearly 1-acre property, filled with mature oak trees, boasts an outdoor kitchen and an infinity pool, along with an outdoor sports court and a four-car garage.

The house has two fireplaces.

“I enjoyed watching the kids and their friends make the most of it, using the swimming pool and watching movies,” Carolla said.

They renovated the home’s theater, kitchen, and primary suite, Carolla added. He mentioned he isn’t sure how much the renovations cost.

There are five bedrooms.

Carolla started “The Adam Carolla Show” in 2009. In the 1990s and early 2000s, he co-hosted the radio and MTV show “Loveline.” He also co-created and starred in the Comedy Central shows “The Man Show” and “Crank Yankers.” Carolla has frequently written for and guest-starred on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” and appeared on “The Masked Singer” last year.

According to Owens, luxury inventory in La Cañada Flintridge is low, driving price hikes. There are fewer than 10 homes on the market over $5 million. In April, homes in La Cañada Flintridge sold for a median of about $2.31 million, down 7.5% from the same time last year, with 56.3% fewer sales in the same period, according to Redfin.
