When Rainbeau Mars’s Venice home was first listed in September, she decided to elevate her approach. Beyond standard staging and landscaping, the Los Angeles-based actress, author, and wellness expert infused the property with crystals intended to attract prosperity, had it blessed and cleansed by an Incan priestess, hosted numerous social influencer events, and even featured the home in a hip-hop-inspired marketing video.
After over 100 days on the market without any offers, Mars has now enlisted local skateboarder-turned-real estate agent Solo Scott of Compass to relist the modern architectural-style home at a reduced price of $3.8 million. Although this is $400,000 less than the original asking price, it is still about $1 million more than what Mars, who was previously married to prominent Hollywood business manager Michael Karlin, paid for the property in late 2018.
Built in 2017, the sleek white and gray home sits on a gated lot of less than a quarter-acre, just steps from Abbot Kinney Boulevard. It features five bedrooms, five bathrooms, and over 3,200 square feet of two-level living space with wide-plank hardwood floors, high ceilings, and a Sonos sound system.
The main level includes a spacious great room with floor-to-ceiling glass doors leading to a newly refinished wood deck with a barbecue setup and fire pit. Inside, the living room has a linear fireplace, and the adjacent dining area connects to a galley-style kitchen with custom cabinetry, quartz countertops, an eat-in island, a dehydrator, and a Sub-Zero refrigerator. A bedroom on this floor includes its own walk-in closet and full bath.
Upstairs, there are four more en-suite bedrooms, including a master suite with a private balcony, walk-in closet, and a spa-like bath featuring dual vanities, a freestanding soaking tub, and a glass-enclosed shower. One of the bedrooms has been converted into a professional soundproof recording studio used by top musicians, producers, and podcasters.
The property also boasts lush grounds with a peaceful sitting area, a custom-built compost station, an edible garden, and sanctuaries for honeybees and butterflies. An attached two-car garage could easily be converted into a gym or office space.
In addition to her previous efforts to attract buyers, Mars is now considering adding a lap pool and is open to rental offers at $25,555 per month.
“In Eastern medicine, your home is your health,” Mars explains. “Every point coordinates to a point in your body and every room affects you. Painstaking efforts were made to enhance the vibration.”
