Less than two years after purchasing Steve Wynn’s opulent Las Vegas mansion for $17.5 million, British businessman and investor Simon Dolan is putting it back on the market with a substantial $24.5 million asking price. While the residence no longer features the priceless Matisse and Picasso paintings that adorned the home during Wynn’s ownership, it still boasts numerous high-end amenities, including a crystal-accented staircase, a plush movie theater, and a garage with space for up to six vehicles.
Built in 2001, this golden-hued stucco estate is located in the exclusive, guard-gated Country Club Hills development within the Summerlin community, about 12 miles west of the Las Vegas Strip. The property spans nearly 1.5 acres and overlooks the TPC Summerlin golf course, enclosed by walls and its own set of gates.
The home offers 15,000 square feet of living space across two levels, featuring six en-suite bedrooms and 11 bathrooms. It underwent a $16 million renovation during Wynn’s ownership, with design work by noted designer Todd-Avery Lenahan. The interiors showcase marble floors and pillars, walls covered in mohair and silk, bespoke carpets, automated draperies, designer light fixtures, and advanced security, fire-suppression, and smart-home systems.
Highlights include a grand double-height foyer with a crystal staircase, a formal living room, two offices with custom backlit ceilings, and a family room with a climate-controlled wine cellar. The formal dining area leads to a gourmet kitchen equipped with walnut cabinetry, an eat-in island, top-tier stainless appliances, and a breakfast room.
Additional features include a movie theater, a library, two fully equipped gyms, and a luxurious master retreat with dual showroom-style closets and opulent baths. Outdoors, the manicured grounds include a garden with a tiered fountain and gazebo, a sundeck-enclosed pool and spa, a sport court, and ample spaces for al fresco dining and relaxation with views of the golf course and surrounding mountains.
Dolan, who made his fortune in accountancy services and has ventured into motor racing and aviation, previously made headlines in 2020 for challenging the U.K. government’s pandemic lockdowns in court. Wynn, who stepped down as chairman and CEO of Wynn Resorts in 2018 following allegations of sexual misconduct, continues to own several multimillion-dollar properties, including a $75 million mansion currently listed in Beverly Hills. Dolan also owns a Caribbean estate on Mustique that once belonged to David Bowie.
