In 2023, Alon Abady was actively engaged in real estate transactions. Not only did he purchase and subsequently sell Simon Cowell’s former Beverly Hills mansion for nearly $34 million—a deal that stood as one of the highest-priced transactions south of Sunset Boulevard—but he also orchestrated the sale of an extravagant estate in The Madison Club, Coachella Valley, to Justin Bieber and Hailey Bieber, fetching well over double its 2019 purchase price.

Continuing his streak, Abady recently acquired another Beverly Hills residence in an off-market deal. Public records indicate he bought the Laurel Way property for $17 million in March. This residence, previously owned by notable conservationists Dan and Susan Gottlieb of Gottlieb Native Garden fame, was promptly listed for rent at $125,000 per month.

The Gottliebs acquired the contemporary mansion, designed by Paul McClean, for $18 million in late 2019, just after its completion and interior decoration by Plus Design Studio. With its striking glass and stone façade, the multi-level home offers five bedrooms and nine bathrooms across over 11,200 square feet of travertine- and wood-clad living space. Accessible via a distinctive bridge entryway, the residence overlooks a welcoming lounge area adorned with a living wall and water feature, enhanced by an imaginative tree sculpture.

The living room is highlighted by a linear fireplace and walls of glass spilling outdoors.

Additional attractions include luxurious features like a game room equipped with a wet bar, a tiered movie theater, and a fitness studio complete with a sauna, as well as a six-car garage. The formal living room boasts a striking linear fireplace, a custom seated bar, and expansive glass walls leading to the outdoors. Adjacent to the family room and dining area is a gourmet kitchen featuring dual islands and top-of-the-line appliances.

The primary bedroom has a fireside seating area and private balcony.

Furthermore, the master retreat, adorned with glass walls, offers a cozy sitting area by the fireplace, a private balcony with views of the city and ocean, a spacious walk-in closet, and an opulent bathroom highlighted by an oval soaking tub and a generously sized glass-enclosed shower. Outside, the landscaped grounds encompassing half an acre feature an infinity-edge pool with a spa, a sunken fire pit, and numerous areas perfect for outdoor relaxation and entertaining.
