Months following the purchase of a Los Angeles estate alongside her husband, actor Ben Affleck, singer and actress Jennifer Lopez has reportedly sold her Bel-Air residence for just under $34 million, as disclosed by individuals familiar with the transaction. Lopez listed the 8-acre estate, boasting a private lake and sandy beach, for $42.5 million in February. She did not respond to a comment request.

The roughly 14,000-square-foot estate has a living room with a double-height ceiling.

Lea Porter from Beverly Hills Estates, representing the undisclosed buyer, declined to reveal their identity, mentioning they are from out of state. “My clients were captivated by the property,” she stated.

There are multiple fireplaces, including one in the dining area.

Records indicate that Lopez acquired the property for $28 million in 2016 from actress Sela Ward and entrepreneur Howard Sherman. Situated within a gated estate, the property boasts a sprawling approximately 14,000-square-foot residence exhibiting nine bedrooms and incorporating elements of French Country style. Among its features are a home theater, a bar, and a wood-paneled library. Beyond the allure of the lake, the grounds encompass a guest cottage, a pool, a putting green, and a pagoda complete with a fire pit. Moreover, an outdoor amphitheater with seating for 100 enhances the property’s appeal.

In July 2022, the high-profile couple tied the knot. In May, they made headlines by purchasing a 5-acre estate in Wallingford Estates, a gated community within Los Angeles’s Beverly Hills Post Office area, for approximately $61 million. Records reveal that Affleck parted ways with his Pacific Palisades residence for $28.5 million last year.

Despite the slowdown in the L.A. luxury market attributed to factors such as higher interest rates, economic conditions, and the city’s mansion tax, notable transactions persist. For instance, a property neighboring the Playboy Mansion recently changed hands for $34 million, while a spec home in the Bird Streets neighborhood is currently listed at $78 million.

The outdoor amphitheater has 100 seats.

Brett Lawyer, representing the listing for Lopez’s house at Carolwood Estates, opted not to provide comment. Lopez, known for her role in Netflix’s “The Mother,” has also made waves with the announcement of her upcoming studio album “This is Me…Now.”
