In the fall of 2021, media and entertainment veteran Reinout Oerlemans sold his luxurious Bel Air mansion for an astounding $69 million to Canadian superstar Abel Tesfaye, better known as the Weeknd, making it one of California’s highest home sales that year. Oerlemans, chairman and chief creative officer of 3 Ball Media Group, and his former professional cyclist wife, Danielle, subsequently purchased a smaller yet glamorous Beverly Hills home for $19.1 million from Lynda Brasali, widow of Indonesian real estate mogul Aldo Brasali, in an off-market deal.
Now, after acquiring another Los Angeles residence once owned by the late filmmaker Alfred Hitchcock and a pied-à-terre in New York City, the Dutch media couple has decided to sell their Beverly Hills property. They’ve listed their neoclassical French chateau-style home, situated alongside the Los Angeles Country Club, for $32 million. Originally built in the late 1980s and extensively remodeled during their ownership, the two-story residence includes six bedrooms and eight bathrooms across approximately 9,100 square feet. Described by listing agents Branden and Rayni Williams of The Beverly Hills Estates as a blend of “old-world glamour with modern elegance,” the interiors are adorned with warm tones and graceful curves.
Set behind wrought-iron gates and tall hedges on over an acre of lushly landscaped grounds, the ivy-covered home welcomes visitors with a motor court. Inside, a double-height foyer bathed in light leads to an expansive living room with a fireplace and a separate lounging area, along with a formal dining room and a stylish wood-paneled office with a bar. The main level also features a gourmet kitchen with two islands, high-end appliances, and a breakfast room with a built-in hutch, plus a family room that opens to an outdoor dining space shaded by mature grapevines. All bedrooms are located upstairs, including a spacious primary suite with a seating area next to a fireplace, two sets of French doors opening to a private balcony, and dual walk-in closets and baths.
The picturesque grounds include multiple balconies and verandas that embody Southern California’s indoor-outdoor lifestyle, as well as a lighted tennis court, a resort-style pool and spa with a sundeck and pool house, and a deck overlooking the golf course. Oerlemans, a former Dutch soap opera star, is best known as the founder of Eyeworks, which sold to Warner Bros. in 2014 for over $273 million. He currently leads 3BMG, a content and production company behind popular shows like Bling Empire, My Unorthodox Life, and Bar Rescue. Together with Danielle, they are often referred to as “the Netherlands’ most famous media couple.”
